She began her legal career in immigration law working with various well-established immigration law firms since 2002. Attorney Portillo established Portillo Immigration Law, P.A. (PIL) in April 2014. PIL currently has two offices one in Orlando, Fl and one in Plant City, FL. Attorney Portillo focuses her practice on the areas of family, waivers, business and employment immigration, asylum and removal/deportation defense.
In Colombia, Attorney Portillo attended Universidad Sergio Arboleda School of Law, where she received a bachelor’s in law. While at Sergio Arboleda, she represented her school in the Inter-American Moot Court Competition in Human Rights held at the School of Law of American University in Washington D.C. Once in the United States, she attended Stetson University College of Law where she earned a Master’s Degree (LL.M) in International Law. While at Stetson, Ms. Portillo was a research assistant for an eminent international law professor and a student assistant to the Dean of International Programs.
She was awarded the honor of International Law Fellow in recognition for her work and dedication at Stetson. Attorney Portillo is fluent in Spanish. She eagerly represents her clients with honesty and knowledge of the immigration law. She is a member of the “American Immigration Lawyers Association” –AILA- and the “New York State Bar Association” (NYSBA). She is also a counselor of the pool of attorneys for the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, FL. Attorney Portillo devotes countless hours supporting the immigrant community.
Mrs. Villa finds immigration law to be very satisfying and possesses a caring heart to help those in need. “It’s gratifying at the end of the day to know that you have made a positive difference in someone’s life and that you were a huge part of the beginning of their new life in the U.S.” Mrs. Villa is fluent in Spanish and assists many clients whose first language is not English. She worked her way through school as an immigration legal assistant.
Mrs. Villa’s experience includes family-based petitions, adjustments of status application, consular processing, VAWA applications, naturalization applications and deportation defense practice areas. She is a great support for the attorney, she has advance knowledge in removal cases and complex family immigration cases.
Mrs. Frazzetta moved to the United States in 2008. In 2013 she graduated with a LL.M in International Law from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. Mrs. Frazzetta has many years of experience in immigration law. She joined Portillo Immigration Law, PA as a Paralegal in the Plant City Office in 2014. Mrs. Frazzetta speaks English, Italian and Spanish.
